Since its inception in 1990, the St. Andrew Alumnae Association Washington, DC, Chapter has gained a reputation for hosting quality fundraising events that unite Jamaicans, our Caribbean and American friends in the DC Metro area. We’ve held dinner parties, social mixers, Independence dances, art shows and exhibits, tea parties, fetes, golf tournaments, and yard sales. We are constantly looking for innovative ways to continue to build our brand in the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area.

"Every Mickle Make a Muckle"

2017 Summer Fundraising Event " A White Affair"
This annual event is our major fundraising effort where the Caribbean diaspora and friends come together to renew relationships, make new friends, network and have a great time. For four years this successful SAHS Alumnae event was held in Chevy Chase, MD, under the patronage of the Jamaican Ambassador to the United States.  Due to increasing popularity and space constraints the event was held at the Laurel/Beltsville Activity Center, Laurel MD in 2012.  The 2017 event is once again scheduled for the Laurel-Beltsville Activity Center, 7120 Contee Road, Laurel, MD  20707, on Saturday, July 8, 2017.  Tickets can be purchased online, using our secure paypal account button below, or by calling Sandra Waddell at 718-744-4247, Judith Grant at 301-526-7824 or Althea Belcher at 301-213-9727. 2017 Annual General Meeting
The 2017 Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held in early October. We’ll begin with a social hour and networking session, followed by a business meeting and presentation. Members will receive detailed information prior to the AGM.

Board Meetings
The Association convenes scheduled board meetings 3 times annually. Though they are primarily for the Board to meet we invite all members to attend. The Association schedules special meetings as needed to deal with important and urgent issues. We have the flexibility to arrange Board or special meetings as conference calls or in-person meetings.
